U4 Gears Up For The VOIP Market
SYRACUSE, Indiana—January 5th, 2005—U4 announced on Tuesday that they would be embarking on a large telecom investment by purchasing some of the physical architecture of the network. U4 currently offers services in Sprint and Verizon territories in Indiana, Ohio, and Florida. Their first purchase in architecture will be in Syracuse, Indiana. As U4 purchases part of the network they will be able to compete where the competition can not. The first of several purchases will be investing in a switch that is capable of offering telephone calls, video on demand services, wireless internet, and DSL. "Imagine the possibilities that we will be able to bring to Northern Indiana, where the cable TV and telephone carriers can only dream of providing such services. June 10th should be our implementation date of our new switch. As a U4 customer, you will be able to cut the cords to Sprint or Verizon, and move your home telephone number anywhere in the world. Our VOIP (Voice Over IP) product with be available shortly after June, allowing you to take your phone with you as you travel. Wouldn't it be great for snow birds to have one phone number year round? With U4VOIP you can. Do you ever travel for business? Did you ever think about taking your phone with you on business trips? With our product you could be on the beach in Tahiti and answer your home telephone. The technology is available and we are ready to implement it for this area," stated CEO, Ben Plikerd.VOIP technology is not available in most Sprint and Verizon territories in Northern Indiana. VOIP allows you to remove the local phone company while you receive your calls over the internet. The technology might sound new, but is even now revolutionizing pricing and competition in the US. U4 would not release prices when asked but did make the following comment, "We guarantee our basic VOIP product will be under $14 per month." U4 was one of the first carriers in Indiana to provide competition to Sprint and Verizon for local service. U4 saves money for customers primarily by not charging extra fees such as the Interstate or Intrastate surcharge seen on most people's phone bills. U4 currently has 2500 customers and is growing every day. U4 on average saves customers 10-15% per month. U4VOIP is just another added service for its customers. "We want to make sure that customers know they can switch to U4 now, they just can't participate in the VOIP program yet." added Plikerd. Customers interested in the U4VOIP program should contact U4 corporate office today and let them know.
U4 Seeks Private Investors for VOIP Switch
SYRACUSE, Indiana—January 3rd, 2005—U4 announced today that they will begin their Four for Four investment program. This program is to raise some additional capital for wireless internet, DSL, and most importantly, VOIP. "We are a unique company in that we raise capital from our community. We are a community built company that raises capital from local private investors. This creates a sense of local ownership and demonstrates that we are here for the long term," stated Ben Plikerd, CEO. The Four for Four program is very straightforward for individuals wanting to invest a small amount of money. U4 has always raised capital in small portions which allows more people to invest. If investors invest $4,000 the investor receives four years of totally free local phone or internet service. They will also receive a guaranteed 8% interest on the $4,000 they invested and in four years will receive the initial investment back. Another similar investment program is the One for One program which is only a $1000 investment for one year. "Funds raised out of this program, which begins January 4, 2005 and continues to March 4, 2005, are for our new Telco switch. This is a major step for us which will allow us to grow faster and offer services no one else is offering. We will only be raising a limited amount of capital and once that amount has been raised we will be closing the door to this program." stated CFO Scott Wenger. U4 has been providing telephone service in Indiana since 2003 and has recently expanded its services into Florida and Ohio. Investors wanting to invest into this program should contact the corporate offices in Syracuse at 574-528-6118. More information related to U4 corporate can be found at www.u4pressbox.com.
