U4 Gears Up For The VOIP Market
SYRACUSE, Indiana—January 5th, 2005—U4 announced on Tuesday that they would be embarking on a large telecom investment by purchasing some of the physical architecture of the network. U4 currently offers services in Sprint and Verizon territories in Indiana, Ohio, and Florida. Their first purchase in architecture will be in Syracuse, Indiana. As U4 purchases part of the network they will be able to compete where the competition can not. The first of several purchases will be investing in a switch that is capable of offering telephone calls, video on demand services, wireless internet, and DSL. "Imagine the possibilities that we will be able to bring to Northern Indiana, where the cable TV and telephone carriers can only dream of providing such services. June 10th should be our implementation date of our new switch. As a U4 customer, you will be able to cut the cords to Sprint or Verizon, and move your home telephone number anywhere in the world. Our VOIP (Voice Over IP) product with be available shortly after June, allowing you to take your phone with you as you travel. Wouldn't it be great for snow birds to have one phone number year round? With U4VOIP you can. Do you ever travel for business? Did you ever think about taking your phone with you on business trips? With our product you could be on the beach in Tahiti and answer your home telephone. The technology is available and we are ready to implement it for this area," stated CEO, Ben Plikerd.
