Korey Knafel U4 Hoop Shoot Finalist
SYRACUSE, Indiana — November 22, 2006 — Korey Knafel a 9 year old 4th grader at Syracuse Elementary received $4.44 for making a basket at the Decades Match up Basket Ball game. Kanfel was one of 4 semi-finalists drawn to shoot for a possible $444.44. “Korey was a real trooper! He just barely missed a 3 point shot,” said Rich Hays Director of Marketing at U4. He continued, “One person gets a chance to shoot 4 shots, 2 tries from the free throw, 1 three pointer and 1 half court. The shooter could win $4.44, $44.44 or $444.44 for a half court shot. You sign up at the U4 table near the concession stand at least 10 minutes before Varsity home games. We draw and call 4 names, of those 4; one will be the finalist and gets 4 shots.”
The semi-finalists are Derek Stutzman, Byron Sears and Chuck Senders. The semi-finalist and finalist receive a limited edition long sleeve Wawasee Warrior/U4 Hoop Shoot shirt.
U4 will be running the Hoop Shoot at all Boys and Girls Basketball Home Games.
