Kelsie Bender receives U4COM Scholarship
SYRACUSE, Indiana—May 30, 2003—Amelia Airheart was a pioneer of spirit and adventure. Her determination and perseverance carved her name into the annals of history. It is this pioneering spirit that keeps America alive and free. U4Com in its determination to advance and adapt the telecommunications industry to latest cutting edge technology with the utmost in customer service has taken the reigns of the future and is driving ever onward. In directing the path of the future of our local community, U4Com has established a college scholarship that will be awarded annually to a local student. Kelsie Danae Bender, a 2003 graduate of Wawasee High School is the first recipient of the U4Com communications scholarship. Kelsey will receive a brand new state-of-the-art desktop or laptop computer to help her in her quest for knowledge. In the fall, Ms. Bender will be attending Bethel College in Mishawaka Indiana majoring in business. Even though Bethel College is only an hour away, her proud parents, Curtis & Debra Bender of Milford Indiana, and her brothers and sister Jordan, Lindsey and Austin, will miss her while she is gone. Perhaps not as much as they may hope. While she is, to some, far away, she is not "laundry" away. (Too far to come home for mom to do laundry). No matter the distance an hour or 24, home is always a phone call away. So congratulations to Kelsie Danae Bender for being the pioneer scholar recipient for the new pioneer local phone service U4Com.
